DOT Health Requirements Overview
To pass your DOT physical, you must meet FMCSA minimum standards, including:

Vision: 20/40 correctable vision in each eye and both eyes together

Color Vision: Must be able to distinguish basic colors

Hearing: Ability to perceive a forced whisper at 5 feet

Blood Sugar: Diabetes without insulin injections is acceptable; controlled diabetes permitted

Substance Use: No use of Schedule I substances, amphetamines, narcotics, or habit-forming drugs
